Gameplay[]
Rounds are 15 minutes long. There are three modes, which are Team Deathmatch (TDM), King of the Hill (KOTH) and Bounty (BNTY). At the end of the round, players can vote for a map for the next round. The menu can be accessed when the player is not alive. The player can press the 'Deploy' button from the menu, or press spacebar to spawn into an ongoing round. Killing many players without dying builds up the player's streak. A high streak can let the player use abilities such as a radar, forcefield or grenade launcher.
The main currency in the game is Credits, which can be used to purchase guns and skins. Levels can be gained by obtaining kills during rounds. When a player reaches level 100, they earn a prestige and their level is reset. Prestiges can be spent in the Prestige Shop to unlock powerful guns, exclusive skins or a permanent credit boost.
Weapons[]
Players can equip a loadout of one primary weapon and one secondary weapon. The Overkill Pass allows the player to equip a primary weapon in their secondary slot. Below are the costs and stats of every weapon. Some weapons require Gamepasses to unlock.

Streaks[]
Killing many players without dying builds up the player's streak. Up to 4 different streak abilities can be equipped (a 5th slot can be unlocked by a Gamepass). Reaching the ability's required kills lets the player activate it. It costs Credits to unlock the Hunter Drone, Sentry, Minigun and Orbital Laser.

- Gunfight Arena participated in The Hunt, a Roblox event in March 2024.
- Gunfight Arena participated in The Classic, a Roblox event in May 2024. Various elements of classic Roblox were featured including the discontinued currency Tix, the map Happy Home in Robloxia and five BrickBattle weapons (which were Paintball Gun, Slingshot, Timebomb, Superball, Rocket Launcher)
- The game contains bots (formally referred to as 'NPCs'). Bots are used to populate servers with low player numbers, with the bots automatically leaving as the server fills up. They are not genuine Roblox players which contribute to the game's player count.
- First time players will always be put into a server against a team comprised entirely of bots until they begin to level up, upon which they will start matching into regular lobbies.
- This bot system is also used in two other FPS experiences, Rolling Thunder and RECOIL (Rolling Thunder and RECOIL are associated with Gunfight Arena via jandel).
- The game offers varying levels of aim assist based on the player's device. Mobile players experience the strongest aim assist, with their reticule being 'dragged' towards the target. Controller players have a milder aim assist that slows down movement when their reticule passes over a player, to compensate for not having the precision of a mouse. PC users lack inherent aim assist, but single shot weapons like bolt action snipers and some pump shotguns have a mild aim assist when aiming down sights - this stacks with the aim assist on Mobile and Console.
